Calgary’s tech sector is about to get bigger, with Mphasis planning to bring nearly 1,000 jobs to the city in the next two to three years as it sets up a Canadian headquarters, per the Calgary Herald. The Bangalore-based firm is a global IT provider to large financial services and insurance firms, with a market capitalization estimated at US$5 billion. Mphasis, which already has a regional offices in Canada, is now looking to expand its geographic reach and service lines. New jobs will represent a variety of tech roles, including development, automation and artificial intelligence.
